The sudden passing of our Brother:

On September 23, 2024 Sacramento Firefighters Local 522 lost our brother, Fire Engineer Tim Hall. Tim had a sudden syncopal episode after a multi-company drill held on UC Davis campus. Tim collapsed during the debrief where his fellow firefighters quickly recognized the need to give CPR, which continued during his transport to UC Davis Medical Center. Everyone surrounding Tim did everything they could to save him, but he passed away at 12:21. His entire West Sacramento Fire Department family grieves the sudden loss of Engineer Tim Hall tremendously.

Fortitude, grit, gentle soul with a servant heart:

Tim fulfilled his dream of becoming a firefighter for WSFD in 2006 at the age of 41. He was an active volunteer with Clarksburg Fire Protection District since 1983 and a seasoned and dedicated Fire Investigator for WSFD. Tim was unequivocally, without hyperbole, the best truck driver for USAR Task Force 7 on which he served for over 10 years. Tim embodied quiet strength, grit, and immense mental fortitude. He was a gentle soul with a servant heart who did everything in his power to serve his community and provide for his family.

Tim was heavily involved in the Clarksburg chapter of 4-H. Tim and his wife Susan enjoyed tending to their livestock and chickens at “Hallsey Farms” in Clarksburg. Fresh eggs, broiler chickens, grass-fed beef, and Thanksgiving turkeys raised lovingly at their farm were all hand-delivered by Tim. Tim was a constant fixture in the kitchen every year for the department Christmas party, spending the entire day preparing food for everyone. Tim was a selfless giver to all that were lucky enough to know him.

Tim is survived by his wife Susan, children Andrew, Taylor, Gabrielle, and Victoria, and grandchildren Hailey, Connor, and Xavier. Our beloved Hall family is in need of financial assistance to help them through this unfathomable time; they lost Tim so suddenly and unexpectedly. No donation is too small to help support them as they navigate through their grief.
