Our dear friend and colleague Tim May was involved in a motorcycle accident on July 23rd 2023. Tim is currently in the trauma unit at VUMC with numerous injuries to include spinal trauma and damage. He has been intubated, extubated, placed on trach, sedated, chemically paralyzed etc. He suffered a small stroke a few days ago and his wife and family are awaiting the results of a neurological examination to determine if he has any permanent damage or deficits on top of the injuries to his spine and rest of his body from the accident.
Tim has been a paramedic in Tennessee and Florida for over 30 years. He has been a hard worker, an amazing partner (I would know, I spent 4 years with him by my side everyday), teacher and mentor to so many people. He and his wife now need our help!! He has a VERY LONG road to recovery and as the sole provider for him and his wife Renee, she is now faced with not only the pain and worry of the outcome of her husband but also the monthly expenses and bills life so graciously hands us. I am starting this page to do what I can to help assist Tim and his family through this difficult time. Any and all donations will assist them will bills, medical expenses, food, and help Renee with transportation to and from the hospital and maintain the home front.
