Tim Meiser Medical Expenses Support
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser campaign to help raise money for Tim and Mary Meiser in a time of need during a medical emergency.
Tim recently went on a trip to visit his uncle in Florida. On his way home he had a layover at the Atlanta Airport on his way back from Ohio. While at the airport he suffered a seizure, which he has never had before. He was taken to the hospital, in which they discharged him back to the airport. At this time he suffered another seizure and was transported back to the hospital and admitted. They found multiple problems including abnormal electrolyte levels and after a scan of his head found a stroke. They are all from Ohio, so they wanted him transferred to the Cleveland Clinic so that he could have his doctors caring for him as well as being much closer to home. So in order to do this they had to pay $10,900 up front to fly him back to Cleveland Clinic Hospital. Unfortunately medicare is not covering any of the transport expenses. They knew this would be better for their family so he was flown back to Ohio on 1/25/2020. Unfortunately during this whole situation Mary has been unable to work since she had to fly to Atlanta to stay with Tim during this whole ordeal.
As many of you know Tim already has many medical problems including kidney failure and he is on peritoneal dialysis. They have to perform surgery so they can start him on hemodialysis which will help with the abnormal electrolytes that caused his new seizures. They are checking his carotid arteries and possibly have to do urgent surgery for carotid stenosis which would have caused his stroke. This all was unexpected and has taken a toll on Mary and Tim.
These donations will help Mary and Tim get through this emergency and help pay for the excessive amount of medical expenses they are accruing. The money they had to pay up front to get him transported back to Ohio has put them in a financial bind. These donations will potentially be life saving. This will provide them the resources they need to get through this medical emergency and allow Tim the time he needs until he is able to have a kidney donated.
They have always put everyone before themselves. They have never wavered in their attempt to support anyone in need even when they did not have the financial resources to help them. We appreciate any amount of support anyone is willing to donate. Any kind of donations whether it be food, gas cards for travel, or even prayers are welcome. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this would be extremely helpful!
Thank you!
