Tim Skelton Burn Fund

Donation protected
On February 7, 2021, Tim Skelton suffered severe 3rd degree burns covering the majority of his upper body. After being airlifted to the closest burn center, he has already undergone 2 of what will be a number of surgeries.  Now that the doctors have been able to regulate his vitals and get him stable, he will now be taken to JMS Burn Center in Augusta, Ga for the remainder of his procedures and recovery.

Monetary contributions will assist his wife with traveling expenses, help taking care of their young son and any non-covered medical.

We are also asking for constant prayers to cover Tim and his family, as their journey down this road is just beginning and will be long and trying.

Update on Uncle Timmy from Tab....
Today was a good day.
Timmy lifted his arm in response to a voice message that he received from Skylar and moved his legs in response to Journey’s voice. His blood pressure went up a little when he heard the voices of his children and the nurse said that is a good response because he is aware of what he has heard.
Timmy was in surgery for five hours today for more debridement and some skin preparations on his thighs. The nurse said that Timmy did great in surgery and that is a relief. He received his trach today and that big ventilation tube has been removed. More of the swelling has started to go down and I can see a big difference between yesterday and today with Timmy’s appearance. Also good news to report that some of Timmy’s skin cells have been sent to Boston to be grown as replacement for some of the skin that he has lost. Please keep the prayers coming as many more surgeries will be necessary.

A little update on Uncle Timmy. He had surgery for debridement on his legs yesterday. The doctor said they are done with the debridement surgeries. He shouldn't have any more surgeries until his skin comes back from Boston and they take the donor skin off. They have started taking him off the ventilator and putting him on a CPAP an hour at a time periodically starting today to wean him off the ventilator. He also started communicating more with Tab today by nodding his head to yes and no questions. Tab said it was absolutely amazing to talk with him and not to him. Tab called me during her last visit earlier and let me and the kids tell him happy birthday and we love him. I cried afterwards just knowing that he could hear us. I'm so happy with the progress he has made so far. Please keep him in your prayers!

Just a little update on Uncle Timmy. He is still doing as good as he can be. He had another surgery today to replace old donor skin with new. I should know more on how that went later this evening. I want to say thank you to everyone that has kept him in his prayers. Please keep them coming.

Update on Uncle Timmy! Yesterday they did another round of removing old donor skin to replace it with new on his chest area. He is breathing through his trach without ventilation for about 3-4 hours at time. So yay for that! Today he was more awake. He told Tab he loved her(he is mouthing words not speaking them) and gave her a kiss! Look out now lol He told her he was ready to be out of the hospital. She told him he needed to heal before that happened. She asked him what he wanted to watch on TV and of course he said the news. Some things never change. lol He is running a little fever today so they were giving him some Tylenol and did some blood work. Let's pray it isn't anything to worry about! Will update more as I learn more!
