Tim Tuerk Funeral Costs & Family Support

With a heavy heart, we share the sad news of Tim Tuerk's passing on September 12th, 2022.

As most of you know, Tim has been battling kidney failure due to his battle with type 1 diabetes. He has been on the transplant list for 2 1/2 years. He has been receiving dialysis for the past two years.

Last week, Tim went into the hospital due to not feeling well. They discovered his liver was in failure. After running many tests, they found fluid around his heart. He started receiving dialysis daily, which seemed to help alleviate his symptoms. We were told that he would be released within the next few days. There was talk about going to a rehabilitation clinic for a day or two to help get his strength back. Unfortunately, Amie received a call from the hospital Monday morning saying his heart had stopped and they were trying to resuscitate him. When Amie and the girls arrived at the hospital, they received the devastating news he had passed away from a suspected heart attack.

Tim has battled health issues for many years, was in and out of the hospital several times, dealing with almost daily dialysis, so he could not work. If you knew Tim, he always had a glass-half-full attitude and would never complain about his health, even when he struggled. He always shared a smile and a joke whenever you were around him.

As you can imagine, this is devastating and heartbreaking news for Amie, Mallory (15), Olivia (9), Jonah (27) and our family. If you can, we ask you to support Amie and her kids by donating as much or as little as possible to help offset some of the funeral costs. Amie has been strong and holding their family together mentally and financially, as she has been their family's sole financial provider for the past two years.
