Help Us Redevelop the Timboon Recreation Reserve Tennis and Netball Courts!

At the heart of our wonderful Timboon community, the tennis and netball courts are more than just sports facilities—they are places where people of all ages come together for fun, fitness, and connection. We are proud of the strong sense of community that Timboon fosters, and we can boast that our town has recently been awarded the 2024 TAC Victorian Tiny Tourism Award. This recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our local community, businesses, and organisations that have worked tirelessly to create an exceptional destination.

As the Recreation Reserve, we aim to uphold this standard of excellence. With the expansion of housing, schooling, and healthcare services, Timboon continues to grow as a desirable place to live. Redeveloping the tennis and netball courts is a crucial part of preserving and enhancing the active, vibrant community we all value.

These courts have been home to countless games, practices, and social gatherings, used by local groups such as the Timboon Tennis Club, the Timboon Demons Football Netball Club, and many families in our community. However, the current state of our courts is a growing concern. Years of wear and tear have left the surface damaged, with water pooling after rain, making them extremely slippery and simply unsafe for play. This not only disrupts games but also increases the risk of injury.

To provide a safe, durable, and modern space for current and future generations, a full redevelopment of the courts is urgently needed.

The great news is that construction is set to begin in October 2025, with plans to upgrade the surface and drainage, ensuring that our courts are fit for play in all conditions. While we’ve secured partial funding to kickstart this project, we still need community support to fully fund the redevelopment.
