A year ago, Kate was diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer and has been battling this aggressive disease ever since.
Kate’s positive attitude, infectious laughter, and devoted support team have carried her miles on this journey. She underwent chemo like a warrior, and never lost sight of the end game. With Maria by her side, the pair have done a tremendous job facing this challenge head on, and even on the toughest of days, they demonstrated unwavering love and support for one another.
Three weeks ago the newlyweds danced at their Wedding. Today, they sit in the hospital, coming to terms with the tragic news of the cancers return. With hope in our hearts, we must now face the unbearable reality that Kate’s time is limited.
Upon learning of the difficult journey Maria and Kate have ahead of them, many have asked, “How can I help?” or “What can we do?”
The greatest gift you can give our girls is the gift of time.
