Wheelchair Accessible Van for Tim

Help this Compassionate and Proud Police Officer

Tim Mott is my dad.  He is also a Navy veteran and a retired police officer.  Several years ago while on a routine traffic stop, Dad was seriously injured by the stopped motorist.  Eventually, his spinal cord injuries from that incident were made worse when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.  In February dad underwent his fourth spinal surgery to fuse vertebrae. Following the surgery dad became weak. His illness has progressed so that he is now wheelchair-bound and paralyzed from the waist down.  Mom, Martha Mott, has retired from her work as a registered nurse to take care of him full time.  Dad is a big man, too large for Mom to move him in and out of the car.  Workers’ Comp won’t fund an accessible van for Dad, so Dad is virtually housebound as well as wheelchair bound.  A pre-owned wheelchair accessible van can cost upwards of $50K.  Will you help me to help my dad? Help me show this man who served his country and his community with courage and compassion that we haven’t forgotten his sacrifice.  Please share this message on your social media sites, and give if you can.  Thank you!
