Timmy's Road to Recovery

Our brother Tim Tyrrell has had some severe surgeries and long hospital stays over the last 18 months due to his diabetes. Because of his complications, he has had two surgeries on his right foot (including a toe amputation), his left foot amputated 6 inches below the knee and five surgeries in his left hand due to infections since 2015. These surgeries have rendered Tim unable to work and his medical bills continue to pile up. We decided to create this Go Fund Me page to try and help him overcome these challenges so that he can start the rehabilitation process, as well as to get fit for a prosthetic leg. He is a selfless person and doesn’t want to depend on others, but we decided to go against his wishes because he truly deserves it. Any donation is greatly appreciated and helpful.

 

On July 26th Tim stepped into the garage with an ulcer on his left foot and due to a severe infection on his heel he broke open the heel causing the bone to break and his wound to split and open 3 inches. This caused severe blood loss, a long recovery and an incredibly hard decision for him to make. In an effort to keep the infection from spreading up his leg and potentially risking his life, the decision was made to amputate his leg. The road to recovery will be a long and strenuous one but with the support of friends, family and loved ones, we know Tim will persevere.
