Timmy's A-level Design Project Fund

Hi, my name is Timmy!

I am an A Level product design student currently in Yr12 and progressing into Yr13 in September. Over the next year I will be undertaking 50% of my exam which is course work driven (practical work).

The project requires a design for a specific client/user to address a problem/need. My career aim is to progress into the design industry and therefore I am aiming to get an A/A*.

For this project I have narrowed down an idea that focuses on my passions and interests to further my projects potential. These interests are Music and Drama and the project I have decided to focus on will utilise the sixth form staff who specialise in these fields, they will be my clients for this project.

After meetings with my clients I have started to design a solution to hold all of the technical lighting equipment for the drama/theatre productions they produce. The aim is to make it simple to setup/dismantle for any student, no matter their level of experience. This also allows for a faster turnaround time that is required in venues and this is one of many positives that this product would bring.

Due to aiming to make my project full scale and functional, as well as maximising my grade, I am here to see if I could raise money to help fund the project.

Without help, the materials will total an amount that I simply cannot fund on my own, and the project will become design only, rather than a usable functioning benefit to the school.

Any additional funds I raise will be donated to the sixth from music and drama department to help purchase other equipment and instruments.

Any donations are extremely appreciated as this will further realise my project to its full potential and ultimately benefit the school.
