Timmy’s “trip of a lifetime!”

Many of you may know by now, but Timmy went back into the hospital for a week, about 2 weeks ago. This time was worse than the last, but thank the good Lord- we stayed off the vent. Getting him there was a little of a chore- but thanks to Nina Martin pushing him and a little encouragement from Camie Erwin and myself, he agreed to go. And honestly, if he wouldn’t have- I’m not sure he would be home with us today. But, we made it out of Huntsville Hospital with a little of a fresh outlook and a new plan .

Yesterday he got to see Peltier, the neurologist in Vandy for the first time in a while. She was amazing at talking to Neuro in Huntsville and they have pulled a few strings here and there and confirmed Timmy an appointment at Mayo Clinic!! And the best news is- it’s in September!!! Y’all, this is unheard of!!! So with that being said, Nina and Timmy will go for a week of appointments in Rochester, Minnesota starting September 12th and even though the specialists and procedures are covered under insurance- the bills at home won’t stop coming. Of course Nina always has everything under control, but I know she is stressing and the appointment just got confirmed this morning. So if you feel led to help out in ANY way- please feel free to do so. I will be setting them up another Go Fund Me account for lodging, travel expenses, gas, food etc. Any amount would be appreciated, and if you can’t give, just pray for them. Pray that these doctors can figure something out, that they can identify the cause of this and come up with a treatment plan to get him back on his feet- or heck, even feeding himself again. We know that God has a great big plan for these two, and we are trusting that He will get us through this next step!!

We love and appreciate ALL of the things that have been done for our family- whether it be treats, meals, messages, prayers or just a visit to say hey! Just please- keep them and our sweet Paisley in your prayers over the next several months while we prepare for this “trip of a lifetime!”
