Fertility Treatments for Lyndsey and Timothy Baker

Hi, we’re the Bakers! We’ve been married for 3 wonderful years and together for 6 years total! If you know us you know how much we love this life we have built together and how much we cherish each other as husband and wife. For the past 2 years we’ve silently been praying and hoping to grow our family but so far have been unsuccessful. We’ve already undergone several tests and doctor appointments in the hope that it would provide us with answers. At our most recent appointment, we were told that our situation is called “unexplained infertility” and there really isn’t a rhyme or reason as to why we aren’t able to conceive naturally.

Because of this, it was suggested that our next step be to begin the process of IUI (Intrauterine insemination). Each round of IUI involves a couple of in-person visits with a fertility specialist, as well as the main procedure itself. Unfortunately, this form of infertility treatment, along with other fertility-related tests, is not covered by our insurance, and each round of IUI alone is estimated to cost around $800. Our first round of IUI will be on February 6th and we are very hopeful that it will be successful, but there is a chance that we will have to attempt multiple rounds in the future if that’s not the case. We are hoping to raise this money to help cover the cost of our upcoming IUI procedure(s), and related doctor visits, medications, and further fertility tests that are part of the process. We are very grateful for any and all donations towards this dream of starting our family.
