Timothy Heaney Memorial Fund

Timothy Heaney, a valued member of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission family, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Tim began his employment with PVSC in 2016, making significant contributions first as a mechanic in the wastewater treatment plant’s Maintenance Department and most recently as a supervisor in the Line Operations Department. Tim was an excellent mechanic who could fix anything he was assigned to repair. Even after moving to Line Operations, he was frequently called on to assist with troubleshooting faulty equipment in the treatment plant. He eagerly agreed to do and many times took over the repair himself. While working in Line Operations, Tim was instrumental in keeping the department on a trajectory with regular maintenance of the collection system sand catchers, regulators, pumping stations and flow meters. He recently achieved a Collections Systems C4 License, the highest level license in his field and was working toward obtaining his Wastewater Operator S2 License. He constantly strove to be the best he could be.

 

Tim was held in the highest regard across the PVSC organization for both his knowledge, as well as his easygoing and engaging demeanor. He never failed to greet you with a smile. He will be truly missed by all.
