To Memorialize Timothy Newby

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jennifer and I’m the sister-in-law of 44 year old (Timmy/Tim) Newby and I am helping his siblings, Corey, Ryan, Jason, and Katie with this as well as his sweet fiancé Izzy and his beautiful 10 year old daughter, Shea.

The story of what happened……

Saturday, December 9, Timmy was complaining of chest pains as he was picking his fiancé up from work. She wanted him to go to the hospital, but he refused. A few hours later, she heard a thump as she was laying on the couch and when she jumped up she found him on the floor with no pulse. She immediately started CPR until EMS arrived and took over. After about 20 minutes, they were able to get a pulse and rushed him to the hospital. They were able to take him in and get the clogged artery open, but after the procedure his body was going into fight or flight more because of sensors in the brain reacting to the swelling and fluid. They placed him in a medically induced coma to try to allow the brain to heal. The next morning they attempted to take him off of the sedation meds to see how he will react. He immediately went into cardiac arrest and it took 15 minutes of CPR and 2 rounds of shocking to get a pulse back. They put him back under sedation and wanted to give him more time to heal. They ordered a test to check his brain waves and found that his brain is constantly seizing. At this moment he is on 6 different anti seizure medications and he is still seizing. The doctors performed a CT Scan this morning and found that he has substantial/irreversible brain damage and they could control the seizures, but he would be in a vegetative state for the remainder of his life. His siblings know that Timmy wouldn’t want that. Timmy is the type of person who wants to get out and work. He likes to keep busy so his family has decided to not let him suffer and let God take him home. They will be taking him off of the ventilator on Wednesday and allow his soul to move on. Since this was sudden and Timmy did not have life insurance, the family does not have the funds to have him cremated which is why I’m making this GoFundMe. Nobody expects something like this to happen to people so young! We have gone with that since it would be the least expensive option and if possible being able to get an urn pendant for his daughter and fiancé. No donation is too small, anything helps! Thank you everyone for anything and everything!

UPDATE:

We found out that Timmy is an organ donor and the same blood type as my love, Jason! Jason had 2 more tests to do before being added to the kidney transplant list, so they were able to get those scheduled this morning to see if Jason would be a match for Timmy’s kidneys! It’s bittersweet, but he will be able to help save his brothers life!

UPDATE...

Jason was not a match for Timmy's kidney's but that is okay! Timmy was removed from the ventilator at 2am Friday morning. He took is last breath at about 5:08am this morning to go join his mother in heaven. We are happy to know that he is now at peace and no longer in pain. We will never forget him and his memory will always live on! Thank you to everyone who has donated! It really means a lot from everyone involved!
