Tim's Bucket List Beer Trip - MND Awareness

Hello, I'm Bianca. Last year, I tragically lost my husband, Matt, at the age of 42, to the relentless grip of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Those familiar with MND understand its merciless nature – devoid of a known cause or cure, with an average life expectancy of a mere two and a half years post-diagnosis.

In the wake of Matt's passing, our close friend Tim, received his own devastating MND diagnosis. Tim, a devoted father of five incredible children, a loving husband to Michelle, and a dedicated Police Officer for over two decades, is now tackling MND head on. Tim is also my son's best mate's father and coaches their football team. Given MND stats currently sit at 1 in 300, this news rocked our little community.

Over a recent coffee catch-up, Tim revealed a wish on his bucket list – "to travel to the the finest breweries and drink the best craft beers in the world" he tells me, life is too short to drink crap beer. And so, the journey begins.

My aspiration is twofold: to fulfill Tim's dream and to raise awareness about MND. Throughout our escapade, we'll visit breweries, Tim will engage in conversations and interview head brewers, sample diverse brews, connect with fellow locals battling MND, and give them a platform to share their stories. These remarkable moments will be captured on Tim's dedicated YouTube channel.

When Matt was diagnosed we kicked off a little business venture, www.lemonadecrew.com, in a sentiment Matt shared during his own battle – "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Our mission is to not only raise awareness but also inspire people tol live their best life, or as we like to say, their ZEST life.
