Tim's Medical Care
Spende geschützt
My name is Joan, and my brother, Tim Savage, was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer) in June 2015. It's been a long 18 months, most of it ok, but the last few months have certainly been a struggle. In October, he was in the hospital for three weeks, and now he is in a skilled nursing facility that is only 10 minutes away from home and his sons. So far, TriCare has been paying his medical fees. He'd been receiving physical therapy, but the facility has determined that he wasn't making progress with the PT and must either move to a long term care room or move to another facility that contracts with VA . Unfortunately, TriCare does not pay for long term care! Deb (his wife) and the boys would prefer to keep Tim where he is now so they can be with him as much as possible - the other options are about an hour away! So, for right now, Deb has made the decision to keep Tim where he is - but it's private pay, and she's already had to pay the first month upfront - $5100. We expect him to be there at least two months - we just don't know how long. Any donations made will go to his long term care needs.
Tim retired from the Air Force after serving 33 years! He's been a wonderful husband and father, and now he's a grandfather! All his life he has helped others without a second thought or an expectation of payment. It would mean a great deal to me if others could now help him and his family. Any amount will help to relieve some of the financial burden his family is facing.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
