Tina Carney's Cancer Battle

Hello, My name is Amber Carney, and I am fundraising for cremation expenses for my mother, Tina Carney, who lost her second battle with stomach cancer on December 27, 2023.

My mother was the strongest, brightest, kindest, and most selfless person I know. She beat gastric, small-cell cancer in 2006 and was determined to beat this battle as well.

After being diagnosed on February 21, 2023, she remained strong and positive until the very end. During her last few months, she remained in either the hospital or a rehabilitation center as her health improved and decreased. Ultimately, a hole was found in her abdomen which needed emergency surgery. However, with her poor health condition (a stage 4 bedsore on her lower back that was infected into her bone and blood, low blood pressure, C-Diff, malnourishment, and stage 4 stomach cancer), she wasn't expected to survive the surgery and was made comfortable.
