Hi my name is Mike and I started this gofundme in memory of a great man who we lost .

Gary Cook was an amazing man who would help out any one who asked for help and even when you didn't ask sometimes he would just show up.

He was the most genuine person I have ever met. He was there if you wanted to talk or even just hold your hand. No matter what he was up to he would drop what he was doing to come to your aid. I met Gary just over 10 years ago and since the first day I met him he was the same genuine down to earth man as he was when he passed..

Gary and his loving wife Tina raised three amazing sons Nathaniel, Mathew, and Justin. He spoke about with the boys with the highest regards.

Gary was an avid collector of anything automotive and had many cars that he loved to talk about and had parts galore. Not just life-sized cars but model cars and toy cars where his collection surpassed most toy stores.He would spend hours working on his models

My friend Gary lost his battle from injuries sustained in a fire that broke out in the early hours of December 15, 2022 in his shop where he spent a lot of time working on cars a lot of the time is was someone else's car. His heroic efforts to knock down the flames and put out the fire did not go as he had planned. I believe he was so motivated to save the contents of his shop which included many antique horse-drawn carriages that his father owned. The family's tools were also lost in the fire and other gas-powered and electric implements were used on the property.

The purpose of this campaign is to help with end-of-life expenses and day-to-day expenses and other expenses that are needed for the family..

I could go on and on about my friend Gary but if you knew him then I am sure you have stories about him and his wife and the three boys. In a nutshell, Gary was the nicest most genuine man I have ever met. The small town of Oliver lost an amazing man.

To his friends, I'm sure you will agree with me in saying we lost a great friend and there is a hole that will never be filled by anyone or anything.

I loved this man and admired his vast knowledge, which he was happy to share with anyone who wanted to learn he was a person that I looked up to and enjoyed spending time with
