Tina McGrory's Cancer Battle

Hi, my name is Noreen McDougal and I am fundraising on behalf of my sister, Tina McGrory.

We are asking for donations for Tina McGrory. Family and friends who we grew up with us in Rosedale know her as Tina. Many clients and friends she has met after childhood know her as Chris. Tina is always the first person to be there when someone is in need. She has been a great friend to many and to our family, she is irreplaceable. This past January Tina was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Surgery was not an option, only a treatment plan. During the Spring, Tina’s vocal cords on the left side became paralyzed because of the tumor which is not reversible. In June, she was no longer able to eat solid foods. She is currently living on Boost and protein shakes. Yet, she longs for a solid meal that many take for granted. After her diagnosis in January, Tina tried to continue to work. I think we all can understand that hairdressers are on their feet all day and it just became too much for her. She then tried to limit her hours but that was also temporary. Tina is very independent and will never ask anyone for help. So here I am, asking for any donations as the bills keep piling up. It’s crazy that even medications aren’t covered and become an out-of-pocket expense for the most vulnerable. There is no amount too small. Please share as I am sure I will not reach everyone who knows her and would like to help. Please also know that our family does believe in the power of prayers. There is always something you can do! Even if you can’t donate, keep her in your prayers and it doesn’t matter what team you play for, we would always accept any prayers. As Tina continues to fight for her life, please keep her in your thoughts. We are grateful for any way you can offer help!
