Tine Is in Dire Need of Our Help
Donation protected
Our mom Tine, 93, is in dire need of help! During the Pandemic her assisted living agreed to not raise her monthly costs because, like many seniors, she is on a fixed income. So in return, I have done numerous solo performances at the facility for all the residents. Over the last 3 years, there have been more than 4 directors at Fallbrook Glen and they had all followed through with this agreement. Now a new director has come in at Fallbrook Glen and is demanding she pay an additional $10,000 or else they will give her a 30-day notice to vacate! We are doing all we can do, but we need some additional help!
Tine also recently had emergency surgery and we are trying to pay down the enormous co-pay costs not covered by Medicare so this new situation only aggravates things!
As many of may know, our mom was interned in a concentration camp in the Dutch East Indies from 1942 - 1945 and when it was time to bring her to assisted living, because of her PTSD, she thought we were putting her back in a prison camp! It took many months for her to finally feel comfortable with the new living situation. She has made many friends there and the staff has been great, but now we are faced with this difficult challenge. We would sincerely appreciate any additional support you may offer. Thank you!
