Tiny heart recovery for Maddie

As most of you know Mike McGonigle and Maggie McGonigle welcomed a new baby girl, Madilyn into the world. She came out perfect, and the last couple months have been bliss for the new family. Maddox is over the moon in love with his baby sister. He adores her, protects her, and justtalks about how cute and perfect she is... I’ve never been more proud of how he loves her.

Unfortunately, just in the last week or so, baby Maddie has fallen ill. She has recently been admitted to the Sunrise cardiac ICU.

Last week little Maddie wasn’t eating very well and fighting us anytime we tried to feed her. After multiple visits to the Ped and ERs over the past week, our ped found that her heart was enlarged and sent us to Sunrise Cardiac ICU Monday evening. Her heart had been beating at a abnormal / irrational rate for an unknown amount of time, which caused it to weaken. We had a rough day yesterday, almost losing our baby girl. She is currently stable, her heart rate is is much lower, however still erratic. Currently we are preparing arrangements to transport her via life flight to a heart transplant center in either So. Cal or SLC, Utah. “ 

The family is devastated but hopeful. There is no other option than recovery and we have faith that she will fight through this. Mike and Maggie will face an unforeseen amount of work and face many medical bills, throughout baby Maddie’s recovery. If you can donate even a dollar to help cover cost of travel, stay, medical bills, etc. while they put their focus on their baby and her recovery, is more than appreciated!
