"Tips for Asheville:" Help Service Workers Who Rely on Tips
Donation protected
I'm Matt Jarvis, I live in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. My community is a lot like yours and many others. It runs on the work of normal people trying to get by: waiters and waitresses, hair cutters, pizza delivery drivers, and service workers. Because of Hurricane Helene, none of those people have jobs now. Many have no income at all for the foreseeable future. These friends and neighbors in our community need help, and many who rely on tips to get by, cannot wait for relief. This is why I'm setting up a "Tips for Asheville" GoFundMe. 100% of the tips donated by you will be distributed by me, not a business or an organization, personally and directly to service workers in the Asheville area as Venmo tips up to $100 each, so they can be confirmed and recorded, in increments at my discretion. To qualify for a tip, each person must have been actively employed as a service worker at the time of Hurricane Helene. I promise you that I will not to keep one penny of your donation. So, please consider tipping our service sector friends in the Asheville area. They need it, and if you know the South, they would likely never ask.
