Tirzah-Joy

Donation protected
Daniel and Jale's sweet daughter Tirzah-Joy arrived on 11/11/22 amidst many early challenges. It is unknown how long she will be in the NICU at Riley as she has some significant health issues to overcome. We are praying and believing that she will be healed and whole. Although we don't always know God's ways, we trust His perfect timing.

Many have asked how they can help Daniel and Jale during this time, and first and foremost, please pray for Tirzah-Joy's complete healing, and also for Daniel and Jale and family as they navigate these difficult days. This fund is for those who wish to donate monetarily to help with unreimbursed medical bills, Daniel's lost wages as they spend their days at Riley with Tirzah-Joy, and also travel, meal, and other expenses while away from home. Thank you!!

Here is Tirzah's birth announcement that Daniel and Jale shared:

Meet our precious baby girl, Tirzah-Joy Wren McLaughlin! She was born 11/11/22 at 10:02am. She was 3 lbs 10 oz. Tirzah-Joy had been diagnosed with a significant growth restriction in utero, and there was concern for multiple anomalies on ultrasound during the pregnancy. She had to be emergently intubated after her C section. She remains on the ventilator at Riley Hospital where she is getting great care from the team there. We currently have no idea how long she will need to be intubated or when she will be able to come home with us. She has some significant changes in her limbs and her spine, vision issues, kidney issues, and lung issues. She has tremendous need for healing at the moment. They are still in the process of doing her workup, making long term plans, and meeting her acute needs. In fact, the trials in this season have been too numerous to list here, the weight of life in this moment is great.

Tirzah-Joy is a profoundly vibrant little girl. She is very active and loves to lay on her back and swing her leg around like a helicopter. She started smiling today, melting our hearts, and loves to hold hands. We've even gotten to hold her a few times while she is intubated, and she adores the snuggles.

Jale is doing great. She is moving, healing, and persevering after her surgery. She has since been discharged and impressed the staff at how quickly she is recovering.
Jale and I are staying at Ronald McDonald House in Indy while we spend our days with Tirzah-Joy. This season has been profoundly difficult, but we have been pressing into the Lord. Early in the pregnancy, we were told Tirzah-Joy wouldn't make it. We rejected this, pressing into the Father to give her her inheritance of life.

Here is my heart's cry:

Blessed be the Lord our God who turns our tears of mourning into tears of joy. Who heals us in our brokenness. Who comforts us in suffering. Blessed is he who brought life to our daughter, who sustains her body, and who delights in her soul. Blessed is He who shall complete her healing inside and out and shall deliver her from the mouth of the enemy. Blessed be the Lord our God.

Tirzah-Joy will smash every barrier that lay before her. She will be well. She will be whole. We invite you to press into the Lord in this season with us, to bless his name with us when we don't understand everything that is happening, and to proclaim his goodness with us in the midst of trial. Thank you to all who have been standing with us in faith and have supported us physically and in prayer!
