Please help our family pay my son's mounting medical expenses related to his double lung transplant and our living expenses while I stay home to take care of him. On October 27, our many prayers were answered. Our 15-year-old son Toby received a double lung transplant which saved his life in the end stages of cystic fibrosis. He returned home on December 6, and I now spend all of my time nursing him through this recovery phase of his transplant. He requires 24-hour care, so I'm not able to work. We're depending on the love and generosity of others and God's grace to get us through.

Toby is such a hero in my eyes and an inspiration to so many others. He has never given up his fight, even when he could barely breathe due to chronic cf-related lung infections. He hasn't been able to run or play outside since he was 5 years old, but he will be able to now. Please donate what you can to help us pay our expenses while he recovers from surgery and moves on with his journey. God bless you. If you'd like to know more about Toby story, keep reading.

"October 27, 2017: Toby received a double lung transplant ❤️ For many years, Toby's wish was simply to laugh without gasping for air. He's a 15-year-old boy with cystic fibrosis who's always had big dreams for the future. But after being evaluated in the winter of 2017, he was told that he might have only one year to live if he didn't receive a double lung transplant soon. However, thanks to the grace of God, the wonderful doctors at UNC Children's Hospital, and a special donor, Toby received new lungs on October 27, 2017! Although the transplant is done, we are still in need of donations to cover insurance co-pays and living expenses, and to create a fund that will allow him to afford expensive post-transplant medications that he'll need now and for the rest of his life.

Toby is a funny, sweet teenager who loves helping other people, video games, Dr. Who, the color blue, music, and science. He was always on the honor roll when he was in school. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to see his friends there for several years because he hasn't had the stamina to attend classes and because he's been hospitalized so often.

He was also forced to stop playing middle school tennis, his favorite sport, because of the severity of his disease. Toby is now looking forward to a whole new life full of running, sports and good times in general. Please give. Any donations will help us to guarantee that Toby will be prepared to live his best life going forward. We hope that you'll find it in your hearts to be a part of his continuing journey. Every dollar counts, and we appreciate all that you can do. Thank you all. Follow Toby's story at: https://www.facebook.com/titansfortoby/?fref=ts Titans for Toby ‌
