Hello & Welcome to Sue's GoFundMe campaign

Hi, Friends of Sue!
In 2011, I met Sue Walden and brought her into my company, Ask.com, to help guide our incredible staff of primarily left-brain tech wizards to build an entirely new strategy for the company. Through her spot-on and playful facilitation, she transformed us from “Yes, Buters” into “Yes, Anders”, which led us on a journey to reinvent ourselves and create what is now the largest digital + offline media publisher in the US.
But even more importantly, Sue showed me how I could be a better, more conscious leader, and human, which frankly changed my life. It's for that reason that I've continued to work with Sue over the past dozen years.
When in 2020, Sue was diagnosed with colon cancer, many of you generously contributed to a go GoFundMe to help her recover from her operation. I felt honored to be a part of Team Sue during that time as together, we helped Sue do 2 years of intravenous vitamin C, special treatments, and powerful supplements.
When Sue came out of surgery, everyone was “locked down” due to COVID, which on the positive side meant she had no temptation to go out and play and was saved from suffering any “FOMO” (fear of missing out). Indeed, She was able to spend lots of time with her grandson Baxter even able to host him for his 4th grade school year.
However, some small sneaky cancer cells traveled undetected through the lymph system and some settled in L3 vertebrae in the spine and ate the bone until late last month when the vertebrae collapsed, leaving Sue unable to stand or sit.
Sue then spent 10 days in the hospital doing scans, tests, and “managing the pain”. On 1/25 she started radiation therapy to kill the cancer. The next day, she was moved to a skilled nursing facility to continue the pain management and radiation therapy.
Up to this point, medicare has covered most of the costs, but exemptions are kicking in--for example, transportation to the therapy and any procedures beyond now.
The unfortunate result is that unless we can raise some funds for Sue, the next round of treatment options will be limited for her. For example, there is a clinic in Southern California that she would be a perfect candidate for and is a good match for her situation and her health goals but is inaccessible to her without financial help.
Sue has made this world a more wonderful place for me, and I'm sure many of you who know her or have interacted with her feel the same way, so please consider helping if you can.
Thank you for anything you are comfortable contributing.
