Titus Davis's Fight Against RMC

At only 27 years old, our beloved Titus has been diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma. RMC is a very rare cancer of the kidneys that predominantly afflicts young men of African descent who carry the sickle cell trait. This is a very aggressive cancer and statistically, the prognosis is poor. However, THERE IS HOPE!! By the grace of God, we were able to get in contact with a woman who’s brother was successfully treated and continues to live a healthy life seven years after diagnosis. She put us in touch with Dr. Tammir at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas – the only doctor known to have successfully treated RMC. In order to schedule his evaluation with Dr. Tammir, Titus will need to pay $24,000. This does not include the cost of treatment, travel expenses to and from Houston, nor the two surgeries that Titus has already undergone. After his evaluation, Titus will have to continue traveling back and forth to Houston for treatment. Unfortunately, Titus does not have health insurance so the cost of his treatment will be significant.

He is the father of two beautiful boys and is so loved by so many.  This diagnosis has been very difficult to wrap our heads around but Titus is a fighter and we are confident that God will carry him through this battle, bringing him out stronger than before!
