TJ & His Mom Need Your Help
Donation protected
Tristan was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder, called: Marshall Smith Syndrome. Caused by a rare gene mutation. It affects 1 in 4 million born. Tristan was also born prematurely which has added difficulty to his development. Characteristics of MSS are respiratory difficulties, bone maturation- affecting growth and development, as well as facial features. The “failure to thrive”- maintain a healthy body weight, and delayed mental and motor skills. Tristan will require hearing aids due to hearing loss and has required the support of a Tracheostomy and a ventilator as well as a feeding G tube port. Although this hasn’t stopped Tristan from showing the world he’s super strong, with the overall rarity of this disorder it is difficult to determine outcomes of life long health.
Difficulties to face ahead are that Tristan will require around the clock care/medical attention, future hospitalizations and surgeries. Tristan has already experienced a life of non-stop medical care being that he is still hospitalized since birth. Mom and Dad would like to give Tristan the best outcomes and brightest future. With Tristan being born so premature, unexpectedly and mom going through an unexpected surgery of a c-section, it has put a set-back on the family financially. Trying to maintain hospital life, part time work and a new home has been a challenge in itself. Mom also experience’s ongoing vehicle difficulties and challenges with an older car.
The first thing needed to help the family is monetary donations to help our dear friends and family have a down payment towards a reliable vehicle so they’re able to get back and forth with all of Tristan’s needs. We’d also ask that anyone willing may donate: diapers, Enfamil-Nutramigen Formula, Clothing 6-12 months or anything they feel will make Tristan smile. We greatly appreciate any generous donations, love, and prayers.
