Support Dad's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Our dad has been our everything. With a wife of 42 years, 4 daughters, and 7 grandchildren, he has worked so hard his whole life to give us everything we need. He worked his ass off—from working since graduating and becoming a father at 18, to driving from Orange to Lancaster (where we were living with our grandparents) to be able to get a degree, work, and see us; all to make the best life for us. He finally started to work for Boeing, was able to buy a house, and moved us to Orange. For 25 years, he has been at Boeing working as a computer engineer. Now, at 60 years old, he just started a plan so he and my mom would be able to retire in 5 years, see the world, and enjoy the rest of their elder years as grandparents and eventually great-grandparents.
Unfortunately, life has other plans. He has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He has a tumor on his pancreas that has metastasized and has spread to his liver and his spine. This has all happened within the last 6 months and is moving so fast that we don't even know what the next year holds. Our dad is not one to ask for help and is already worried more about us than himself. So we ask that you please keep this a secret from him.
Our dad has always had a way of bringing fun, joy, and laughter everywhere he goes and to everyone he meets. He will need all the help and support he can get to beat this. Anything you can donate will help him focus on getting better and not on his medical expenses. We love you and appreciate anything you can give. Again, we would like to keep this a secret from him so we can surprise him. Thank you.
