Andrus Family Benefit

Jenn Andrus, a teacher at Rigby Middle School has had a run of bad luck.  For a couple of years her family has been dealing with medical bills and other issues incurred when her young daughter was in a car wreck.  In September, her husband went in for routine sinus surgery and went without oxygen for an undetermined amount of time.  He now has brain damage and seizures and can no longer work.  They have been trying to live on her new teacher salary of less than $1200 a month.  Then, on February 6th, she had two seizures.  They have discovered that she has epilepsy with gran mal seizures.  Needless to say, they are living on little income, having to pay tremendous medical expenses.  They have sold their home and are now living in a 500 sq foot cottage with their 2 teenage sons (a third son is on a mission) and their daughter.

Rigby Middle School is planning a benefit dinner for the family on March 18th from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Rigby Middle School.  We will be having a potato bar, and will be holding both a live and silent auction.  So far we have a fly fishing float trip worth $450, some jewelry from a local store, free windshield repair, baked goods, old phones, student art and craft work, etc.


We would like to invite everyone to attend.  Tickets will be a suggested donation of $5 per person or $25 for a family.  Children under 1 year are free.
