Help Queer Siblings In Kenya Kakuma Refugee Camp
This fundraiser has been remade so that funds could reach the beneficiary.
Introduction
Hi, my name is Adams. I am a victim of torture, sexual and physical harassment, living in Kenya, Kakuma Camp. In the camp, we are several LGBT people who fled our home countries to Kenya to seek asylum due to our gender identities. However, we found the situation in the camp not welcoming, miserable, and life threatening as well. Amongst us, we have children, lesbians with unexpected pregnancies, transgenders, gay men, intersex, and so many others.
On behalf of my entire community, of almost 50 folks, we are looking for funds. Funds to ensure our daily meals, blankets, mattresses, medication, ect. We strongly need everyone's help in this, please.
What's going on in Kakuma Camp?
Kakuma Camp is located in Kenya. People from lots of countries seek refuge here to hopefully be in a safer situation. The LGBT refugees are not only discriminated against in their own country but also by other members of the Kakuma Camp. Because the LGBT people are living together on the same block, they are very easily targeted.

Hi, I'm Daphne from the Netherlands and I'm the original organizer of this GoFundMe. Adams reached out to ask if I could set up a fundraiser because setting one up himself is not possible due to his country not being supported. I just wanted to give some clarity about what happens with the money once it's donated.
After a donation is made, it will be sent through WorldRemit as soon as possible to Adams so he and others can use it.
Hi, I'm Gavin, the new organizer of this GoFundMe. Daphne wasn't able to transfer the raised money to our beneficiary, so they asked me to remake the page and be the organizer because I am able to transfer funds to our beneficiary.
