Coworkers house fire

Our coworker and her family lost most of their belongings in a house fire yesterday. All family members are most of their clothing is ok however all plastic items in the house are lost. They are displaced from their house at the moment and will soon move into a temporary rental until the can get back home but it may be 2-6 months.

Update from the family
Sounds like it will be a minimum of 2 months before we can go back. Probably closer to 3-5 months. It's very scary to think we don't have a home, especially during the holidays. Our insurance company is searching for a longer term housing option so please pray they find something. Options are very very limited this time of year in Wisconsin and especially in this area. EVERYTHING plastic is not salvageable. This means ALL the kids toys, including what I bought already for Christmas. Other things like all our mattresses, food, sofa etc. Everything in the basement is unsalvageable also. That includes SO much. Insurance will cover everything eventually, I just don't know how soon we will get that check to replace things. Especially where would we go with it all? The process is long and stressful and very overwhelming. This has been hard on our family but we continue to be grateful that we have what matters most ‍‍‍ thanks again for all who have continued to show love and support during this trying time!!
