Let's Get Moving!
Theatre Knoxville Downtown's Second Act Campaign is raising funds to enable us to move to new space at 800 S. Central St.
We've raised approximately $50,000 to date, and need $30,000 more to make the space code-compliant for theater performances and functional enough to begin producing shows there.
That's what this $30,000 GoFundMe campaign is all about!
Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed so far!
Please support this next push!

Raising the Curtain on the Future
Since 1976, Theatre Knoxville Downtown has been committed to providing high quality, affordable theatre to the entire community. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, TKD is overseen by a Board of Directors and is entirely volunteer-driven.
The theatre has been at 319 North Gay St. since 2005, where seating is limited to 50 or less, depending on set design.
Attendance has grown steadily in recent years and, starting in early 2014, shows have been selling out regularly, often forcing us to turn away patrons.
We've outgrown our space and it's time to move!
The Second Act Campaign is focused on raising $250,000 to:
occupy a new downtown space that provides a bigger stage, space for set construction, dressing rooms, at least double the current seating, and improved patron amenities & cover the increase in occupancy costs for the first three years in the new space. By securing commitments for the first three years of increased occupancy costs, TKD ensures responsible stewardship of contributions.
Funds raised through the campaign will be designated for these purposes exclusively, and any remaining funds will be placed in reserve for future capital needs.
Help raise the curtain on the future of TKD by making a contribution today!
