Scholarship Fund - In Memory of Trevor L. Scott

Trevor Scott. 

Scholarly. Considerate. Dedicated. 

In the wake of losing a son, brother, student, and friend, we aspire to create a unique opportunity for his kindred spirits. Trevor dedicated himself to those around him and took pride in earning the 2018 Academic Excellence Award for GPA 3.5+, and the Superintendent Scholar Award 2019 (top 100 SAT scores in district). 

We have been both surrounded with and humbled by the outpouring of support in these challenging days & we are profoundly grateful for that sense of community. 

Sometimes as headstrong as he was intellectual, Trevor regularly posed the question “Why should I do that?” to those around him. In that single question lives an intense independence, curiosity, and a fire for testing conviction in the advice of others. As we reflect today on his legacy in an attempt to preserve and honor him in a way that rings true to who he was, a fund is being created that will be used to establish and distribute scholarships for those also attending Lakeview Centennial High School.

Scholarships from the TLS Academic Fund will be awarded to those who show a fierce dedication and drive to achieve a higher level of education while carrying themselves with integrity. Scholarship consideration will be made for students with a desire to attend either a university, community college, or a trade school.
