Pam's fight against cancer.

Hello everyone, my name is Pamela. I was diagnosed on May 8th this year with Squamous cell carcinoma of the sphenoid sinus. Previous to my diagnosis, I was working full time as a LPN to help support my family. Before having a diagnosis, my work suffered due to migraines that I could not find a reason for or relief from. After six months of countless doctors appointments, I finally found a physician who performed surgery on May 3rd and thought that removing what he thought was a fungal ball from my sinuses, would solve the problem. However, on May 8th my life changed forever. I had cancer. Not only was I afraid for my life but also the sustainability of my family and the ability to get the treatment I needed. I had to give my car back to the bank because I couldn't afford to keep it and now I am struggling with bills and being able to afford my trips back and forth to radiation. I have to go every day for the next seven weeks. It is an hour and a half drive each way. I can't tell you how expensive this has already been. I am asking for those who can give to share do I can keep up with transportation costs, paying household bills and for help with getting the kids started for the new school year. I have worked very hard to get to the point in life where I was proud of my career and until I can get back to work and back to my life, I am asking for help from those who can to make this journey a little less bumpy. The next few year can go either way and I'm hoping that after my treatment is over, my life will continue to be cancer free. I appreciate everyone's help, thoughts, prayers and well wishes.
