Elijah Arranz Fund. Skydiving fall
Elijah was critically injured while skydiving at the weekend and we are all forever grateful to the instructor Tony Rokov an "incredible hero" who saved Elijah's life.
On Saturday a sudden gust of wind swept Elijah Arranz and Tony Rokov - who were tandem skydiving - into an uncontrollable freefall about 20 metres above the ground. Mr Rokov, wrapped himself around Elijah to cushion him from impact. He died at the scene.
Elijah has sustained a number of serious injuries and is in an induced coma in a hospital in Sydney.
Elijah Arranz though is more than a skydiving accident survivor. He is the 14 year old boy that ran a mile everyday for a year because he wanted too, the boy at age 10 that shaved his head to donate funds for cancer and just last week met a 21 year old autistic man who had a fancy for running shoes. Elijah shares that same fascination and once he learned of it he ran home to collect not one pair but four and gave them to this man.
The funds raised will go towards Elijah for rehabilitation to assist with his recovery from the accident. Elijah's parents would also like to make a contribution to Tony Rokov the hero who saved Elijah's life.
100% of all monies received will be given to the Arranz Family by Bank Cheque on the completition of the fundraising campaign.
Thank you,
Steve Dodt, President of UC Ginninderra Athletics Club, Elijah's running club
