The Yerkes Family

On September 2, the Yerkes family was camping when Shawn suddenly awoke to Jen flailing and acting strange in her sleep. He immediately sought help, and Jen was sedated and airlifted to a hospital in Denver. While hospitalized, several tests were performed, and Jen was stabilized and evaluated. Doctors were able to rule out a stroke but found many blood clots in her brain. The large blood clot is located in a dangerous part of her brain that cannot be operated on due to it causing brain damage. Jen is currently in the ICU on a ventilator to protect her until she gets her functions back. However, she can follow basic commands and answer questions which is amazing! Please keep this family, especially their two young children, in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimagineable time of uncertainty.
