CAMEO Medical Mission Trip

This Spring Break, I will be traveling to Buff Bay, Jamaica with the Caribbean American Medical Educational Organization at Florida State University. While in Jamaica, we will be setting up clinics where we will be able to perform basic medical procedures for the less fortunate.
This is an amazing opportunity for us to help the people of Jamaica by offering various medications, procedures, and supplies that they would not otherwise have access to. However, we also aim to educate the people of Jamaica and raise awareness about prevalent diseases in the area. I must personally raise $1,500 to cover travel expenses, food, and most importantly, medications and supplies.
I am extremely humbled and excited to be able to take part in this amazing experience. Helping people who do not have the resources to receive health care has always been an important goal of mine and this is just one way to accomplish that goal. This opportunity very closely follows my future goals as a physician and will only help to reinforce my beliefs, while spreading awareness for the less fortunate.
