TMJ Arthroscopy

I’ve created this Go Fund Me to seek help in covering the costs of my TMJ arthroscopy for my TMJ. This isn't easy for me to write, but if you've seen my posts, my life has been kind of messy lately. About 8 years ago, I started experiencing jaw pain and was diagnosed with TMJ. Over the years I’ve tried everything from chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, massage therapy, NSAIDS, muscle relaxers and other medications to help alleviate the pain. I have been turned down my multiple TMJ surgeons locally due to the extend of my TMJ. The past year, my condition has worsened. This disorder has severely impacted my quality of life. It is painful to chew, talk, yawn, etc. I suffer from constant head, neck and shoulder pain and my most recent CT showed the disc on the left side of my jaw is displaced. Fortunately, I met Dr. Nora who got me in touch with an oral/Maxillofacial surgeon in CA who specializes in severe TMJ cases who has brought light to my life and has given me hopeful news since my condition has a solution; a SURGERY that can put an end to my ailments. Unfortunately, this light that brings so much hope to my life is fading because it is a surgery that is not all covered by my insurance and has a high price, which is an amount of money that I do not have. Currently I am scheduled for bilateral TMJ arthroscopies on July 25, 2022. Your support will give me back the life I once knew before the severe progression of this diagnosis.
