Support Sarah

Our dear friend Sarah is in need of some help.

On Friday May 12, Sarah’s husband Scott died unexpectedly from a devastating stroke . Scott was her best friend, the love of her life, the father to her son, Cort and step-father to her two older sons, Wacy & Auggie.

Sarah and Scott created a place we all lovingly refer to as the Pond Farm, Together they raised all kinds of poultry birds, children, and a large garden. They are the type of friends who invite you out to visit for a weekend to explore nature, make crafts, and enjoy the best duck burgers you’ve ever had. Scott was a devoted dad, a hardworking husband, and full of jokes and warmth. Scott was also the primary breadwinner for the family while Sarah stayed home to homeschool their children and to run the farm, which is the main source of food for the family.

Sarah also has a condition called Alpha Gal Syndrome that makes being in public spaces and exposure to allergens dangerous for her health. Alpha Gal syndrome is caused by a tick bite, which causes an allergy to mammalian meat and by-products. It is potentially life threatening as it can cause anaphylaxis and severe illness. While some people just can't eat red meat, this disease for Sarah means not even a trip to the grocery store is safe for her.

We don't know what the future holds but Sarah and her kids need us right now to come alongside them financially. They've lost their husband, Dad, and source of income. Any form of support, small or large, is appreciated. It will help ease the pain of their enormous loss and to give support as Sarah leads their children on their new journey.

To know Sarah is to love her and to be loved. She’s the kind of friend who shows up for you in every way possible, with hugs, with homemade goodies, and with lots of support. Now it’s our turn to show her the same. We appreciate every donation— Thank you for your help!
