Mackenzie Sibley Surgery
Donation protected
Friends, one of my most favorite people in this world is my baby brother, Colee. Colee is a tender and kind-hearted brother. He is a giver and would help anyone broke down on the side of the road! He never asks for anything in return. Now he and his precious family need us.
A few months ago, we noticed a severe curve in my niece, Mackenzie’s back when she was walking to the pool to go swimming. This week she visited a specialist at Children’s in Birmingham and the news was hard. She has a 76 degree curve in her spine and will need a full spinal fusion. She’s only 12 and is a 7th grader at Slocomb Middle School. The surgery will take a full day, and as long as there are no complications she will spend 1 day in the ICU, 4 days in the hospital, 6 weeks of no school, and 6 months of no physical activity. The recovery will be very difficult. We’re raising funds because even though Colee & Stacy have excellent insurance, their portion will be in the thousands. Colee will be out of work for 1 week and Stacy will be out of work for 6 weeks. They will also need travel expenses for going back and forth to Birmingham, extensive physical therapy for Mackenzie, and for any other bills that may arise from this.
Would you give if you are able? Any amount will help and will be immensely appreciated. But more importantly, please pray! We love our Kenzie girl and we want to help bear this burden in any way we can. Every single penny will go to them.
