Tatsuaki Nakato Memorial Fund

Tatsuaki was a very generous individual, always giving to others whether in the form of a pleasant conversation, education, or support. The Iowa City Hospice supported the entire Nakato family during his battle with cancer and they took very good care of us all. The Optimist International Foundation Childhood Cancer Campaign was important to him as he really wanted children battling cancer to have support wherever possible. Since both Tatsuaki and his wife Sharon battled cancer and are members of the Coralville Optimist Club, this foundation is near and dear to their hearts. Finally, Tatsuaki loved teaching students about the field of Hydraulics and to share his passion and encourage a future of this discipline, a scholarship will be created in his name.
