Kidney and Pancreas Transplant

Our story is simple, I have lived a life as an insulin dependent diabetic for 26 years, and I try not to let it get in the way of living a normal life. I love my job as a middle school teacher and can't imagine not surrounding myself with the wonderdul kids and stafff at East Iredell Middle School. I will begin dialysis very soon and will be going 3 days a week until I get a kidney and pancreas transplant. From there, I will be on anti-rejection medicine forever. We will be traveling to doctors and hospitals in Winston throughout this journey. Life is changing for the Jesters and we just need some help so that life can continue to be as "normal" as possible. I am a strong woman, and my husband Micheal is what makes all these medical challenges able to be overcome.
