To Angeles City, Philippines

My name is Alexis Windsor and I was born in Angeles City, Philippines. I was given up for adoption when I was an infant and adopted by a military family stationed at Clark Air Force Base. Since learning about my adoption as a young child I have been searching for 15+ years for my biological siblings. I have always felt a sense of emptiness and void in my life. While I appreciate the life I was given here by my adoptive parents, I longed to know where I came from and who I am. A friend put me in contact with a few Facebook groups and allowed me to post my story and then people were helping me left and right. Strangers knowing my social worker and knowing people with my family name, Belmonte was all it took and in less than 24 hours I was able to be put in touch with my niece, my sister's and nephew. Then next thing you know I am video chatting for over an hour with my mom and siblings. I learned both my mom and dad are alive and I have 6 brothers and 4 sisters and 35 nieces and nephews. One of the hardest things for me to do was to tell my adoptive parents because I didn't want them to feel like I love them any less or think I was not grateful for the good life they have afforded to give me, I wanted to share my joy and excitement. Well let's just say it didn't turn out how I'd hoped. Either way, the hardest part of my journey is over, which was finding them after 35 years. I want to visit my family in Angeles City but it costs way too much for me to just get up and go. So I would like to go next year and am trying to get things underway to make reservations soon.
