To Build A Hospital For The Underserved

It is sad to tell you that many people are dying needlessly every second from diseases that might be avoided. The communities are placed in a situation where they must travel to other places within or outside the country to seek medical help, or they resort to native doctors. Access to high-quality healthcare is seen as a fundamental human right and should not be restricted to those who can afford it. Umu Okpu Ngwa Association, USA, and Diaspora Inc., is a non-profit organization devoted to bettering the lives of these underserved communities.

For instance, my cousin died while having preeclampsia, and the doctor refused to care for her because she was not initially registered with him. It is a common practice for these doctors in the current hospital to leave dying patients unattended. If you do not pay at the existing hospital or medical clinic, nobody will see you. They will be watching you die, and nothing will happen to them. The healthcare system in these communities has no government regulations. Therefore, the poor suffer needlessly.

We started this hospital project last year when we had successful fundraising on May 28th, 2022, and raised some money with which we started the building. The hospital building shown is a picture of the unfinished structure that we are building with donations from people like you. While we are in the process of completing this hospital building in Ngwa Land, Abia State, Nigeria, we need your help to make our effort go even further.

With your support, we will complete and equip the hospital, hire skilled medical professionals for the hospital, and make sure they receive ongoing training to guarantee they can deliver high-quality care.
