To Buy a specialised Bike and equipment for Oscar
Donation protected
Nick Pedley is daring to do a wing walk in aid of raising enough for a local young lad called Oscar.
Oscar was born at 29 weeks and was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy at a very early age, this was caused by a bleed on the brain and lack of oxygen at birth. For those who may not know Quadriplegia is the most severe form of cerebral palsy because it affects so many areas of the body. Oscar has also recently been diagnosed with autism and last week was registered partially sighted, despite all of Oscar’s set backs you will always see a smile on his face. Oscar is confined to a wheelchair, we want to give a little independence to this happy boy by raising enough to buy a new specialised bike. Around 5 years ago we fundraised a substantial amount of money for Oscar that bought him a bike and help with adaptions to the house, garden and was used to buy specialist equipment. As Oscar has grown he no longer is able to use the bike we previously bought, when Oscar had this bike he gained so much independence and enjoyment, the bike was a great form exercise for his legs to build the strength and flexibility. Oscars only way of getting around is in a wheel chair so for us to raise money for this bike would be massive for Oscars quality of life!!
