To fund toward playing a harp again ❤️

This is a little painting I made after finding some music notation when I had just played a harp for the first time in some years!

So some of you might know that many moons ago when I was a little 5 year old me, my dad and I were kindly given seats that happened to sit right at the front of the harpist in an orchestra!

And I fell in love! What a beautiful, enchanting awe inspiring instrument. When I was then given a little folk harp for my 5th Christmas on the planet and harp lessons too I fell in love again!

I was so lucky to be taught by Elizabeth Jane… who taught me not just how to play a harp but what magical realms, fairies, fai and folk law live inside this beautiful instrument!

I played for some years and felt the magic of having this instrument with me as I grew up.

And then was a grumpy teen for a while and didn’t quite appreciate how special it was…. Untill I found Joanna newsoms music and fell in love one more time!

I had a gorgeous harp, she was so special but times were tough a few years ago and with family having rough times and me also not being able to keep financially afloat to keep her she was shipped away to a beautiful new owner in Italy who loves her very much and plays her often at her concerts.

But after a long and beautiful stay on a island in recent times I found a harpist… who makes harps, and I played a harp of his- the first time I’d played in a few years and it was such a joy even though for just a few minutes. I remembered all the magic that’s hidden in this instrument that I spent my whole childhood with and I missed it deeply!

So I’m reaching out, to say I wonder if anyone might be able to share a few pounds or pennies to help me fund this wonderful harp player to be able to make me a folk harp?

Once I have a harp again il be sure to be playing and want to get out there busking and making relaxing sounds to accompany relaxing things.

I’ve been studying qigong and would love to start doing yin workshops with harp and qigong. And some of you know I love dance… I love to be able to accompany contact impov with my new folk harp friend and make some harpy noises.
