To give Maureen the send off she so deserves

It is with great sadness that my family and I are starting this fundraiser for Maureen. Our families have been close family friends for many, many years.

Maureen lost her fight with cancer and passed away peacefully at home on Monday 8th May.

Maureen and Steve have been soulmates since Maureen was 17 years old, over 40 years ago. They were due to get married at Walsall registry office on 29 April, but as Maureens health deteriorated, they married at the Manor Hospital Walsall on 18 April. Maureen worked at the Manor Hospital and her many friends there did everything they could to make their day so special.

Maureen was one of the kindest, most selfless people you would be lucky enough to meet; she made a difference to so many lives.

Any donation, however small would make a considerable difference. It would be wonderful if we could raise some money between us to give Maureen the send off she so deserves and to ease the financial worry for her husband Steve.

Steve looked after Maureen with such love and kindness. When Steve was very poorly and spent a long time in hospital several years ago Maureen nursed him back to good health with the same love and care.
