To help Gedling Football Club following break in

We are the Under 11 Saturday Team at Gedling FC and we are asking you to help us….

Sadly, the football clubhouse was broken into by thieves who stole copper pipes, taps and even ripped down ceilings from a newly renovated football clubhouse belonging to our club.

This has left the club devastated and we really wanted to do something to help recuperate some of the costs and give something back to the club that give so much to our children.

Our boys will be doing a sponsored 5k run/walk on Saturday 22 October 2022 at 11am from our home ground at Stoke Bardolph before heading up towards Stoke Weir and back again, finishing at our beloved ground.

Running a 5km (3.1 miles) will be a huge challenge for the boys as they are not used to running at a consistent pace and over a significant distance. They are much more comfortable with short sprints across a football pitch and chasing a ball! They haven’t trained for this and neither have us parents, but we all wanted to do something proactive to give back the club and the volunteers that do so much to support our football and development.

If you would like to sponsor the boys (and some of the grownups who are putting their trainers on!) it would be hugely appreciated.
