Donate to improve the quality of life in Tanzania.

According to the country-rights tracker organisation, Tanzania scores 56.3% on quality of life when scored against the "income adjusted" benchmark. Compared with the other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Tanzania is performing worse than average on Quality of Life rights. However, the essence of my expedition, lies in the pursuit of creating positive change in the lives of Tanzanian communities, in order to foster long-term improvements. I have been gifted the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, through CAMPS INTERNATIONAL for 1 month, during this time I will be participating in numerous activities, aiming to cultivate sustainable solutions that empower individuals and uplift entire communities. For example the Community Project work, which consists of helping to build classrooms, constructing and refurbishing community buildings and installing water storage systems with locals. In addition to this I will also be deworming goats and volunteering in many more exhilarating activities, including... creating environmentally friendly paper out of manure!. But most of all building unforgettable relationships and memories. The decision to navigate the challenges of Tanzania is rooted in the belief that I can step beyond the familiar confines of daily life and unravel layers of potential, and resilience within myself.

In order to raise money for the expedition I will be taking part in numerous different fundraisers. I will be completing a 5k fun-run on the 10th of December 2023, wearing a full 'Santa suit' (beard included) - in the festive spirit!. Additionally I will be doing multiple Christmas themed market stalls in local primary schools and Christmas fairs and I will be hosting a samosa sale at the start of the new year and co-organising a Christmas-themed raffle at the local village hall on the 15th of December!
