To help my mother during this difficult time

Hi, everyone. My name is Sydney. As many of you know my brother Nicholas was born with a rare birth defect called Holoprosencephaly (HPE). My mom has been his full time care taker since day 1. She has never left his side. She quit her full time job almost 23 years ago to dedicate all of her time in learning his care and caring for him. She is the strongest person I know, does for everyone else always before herself. My brother has been fighting back to back infections RSV, then pneumonia and a sinus infection as well. He’s been putting up a strong fight but unfortunately had to be intubated last night for the 4th time within the last few weeks. His body isn’t strong enough to do it on his own, today the difficult choice was made to take him off of the ventilator this afternoon and keep him comfortable until he passes. Between all the sickness and his condition his body is just very tired! My mom is not one to ever ask for help in anyway. I ask of you to please not tell her at this time this has been made. I am blocking her from the post. I also ask that everyone please respect her at this time with not bombarding her with phone calls. She is staying by my brothers side until he gains his wings. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated and used towards funeral expenses and for my mother to have less of a worry until she figures out a new way of life as taking care of my brother has been her entire daily routine for almost 23 years.
